Center of the Universe

Imagine the idea that you are the center of the universe
\nIs true. Imagine from where you stand a big bang unfurls creating everything around you.
\nOf course, some big bangs will be experienced as whispers,
\nOr deep sighs of acceptance after years of working hard to simply trudge
\nAnother step. Imagine the universe blossoming through your blossoming;
\nThat all space and time is hereby localized in you.
\nImagine being a focal point of God\u2019s light, an emissary of the moment\u2014
\nThe very ways and means of God\u2019s omnipotence. Imagine it\u2019s you and I
\nAnd every sentient being experiencing being alive all at the same time.
\nImagine galaxies gracefully unfolding their arms from the center of your heart,
\nStars forming from a single thought, planets set to spinning from an impulse
\nTo play.<\/p>\n
Imagine self-centeredness being a blessing.
\nImagine it meaning something altogether different
\nFrom what we usually think it means.
\nImagine it means the complete desire to serve and to share,
\nTo create and to inspire, to let go of rather than hold on to.
\nImagine it is the way in which we imagine self-centeredness
\nThat selfishness of the most terrible kind arises.<\/p>\n
Imagine opening your eyes and seeing everything revolve around you,
\nAnd imagine everyone else doing the same, so that everyone would see together
\nThrough their own unique lens the eternal dance of now.<\/p>\n
Imagine God seeing through you,
\nBreathing through you,
\nThinking and loving and touching through you,
\nAnd the gift is you get to feel what it\u2019s like
\nTo be light,
\nTo be breath,
\nTo be a vessel
\nOf divinity.<\/p>\n
Imagine then your choice in all of this is whether or not
\nTo close yourself off and turn away, or to be yourself–
\nAn absolutely true center of the universe.<\/p>\n
Imagine making your decision and then turning towards the momentum
\nAnd joining the dance.<\/p>\n
