\nHear past sounds and any meaning
\nThe mind gives those sounds,
\nListen through the chatter
\nAnd traffic, and everyday sonancy
\nTo the Foundation Song
\nExhaling steadily through all creation.<\/p>\n
Look, O eyes of my soul,
\nSee past appearances and any judgments
\nThe mind assigns the images,
\nSee through replicas and glitter,
\nAnd shifting shadows
\nTo the Foundation Light
\nShining steadily through all creation.<\/p>\n
Taste, O tongue of my soul,
\nDiscern past flavors and any cravings
\nThe mind makes you think
\nYou must obey.
\nSavor through the empty calories,
\nThe sweetness and bitterness,
\nAnd everyday seasonings
\nTo the Foundation Bread
\nNourishing steadily all creation.<\/p>\n
Feel, O body of my soul–
\nBreathe past fear and any memories
\nThat say you shouldn\u2019t experience bliss,
\nRise past shame and the torturous ideas
\nThat pleasure is somehow wrong
\nTo the Foundation Joy
\nCresting steadily through all creation\u2014
\nSpilling you, emptying you, filling you,
\nLifting you to sink into heaven\u2019s bed
\nWhere you are allowed to desire desire,
\nWhere you are allowed to be ravished
\nAnd to ravish, where it is safe to lose yourself
\nAnd find yourself in the rapturously
\nCatching breath of the Beloved.<\/p>\n
