the muddied roads,<\/span><\/p>\n

along the tiny villages<\/span><\/p>\n

of water, the memory<\/span><\/p>\n

drips with secrets.<\/span><\/p>\n

Every reminiscence<\/span><\/p>\n

cups drops of moisture<\/span><\/p>\n

at its center.  Filtering<\/span><\/p>\n

into the thinnest gullies,<\/span><\/p>\n

each memory\u2019s warm<\/span><\/p>\n

liquidity dissolves image<\/span><\/p>\n

after image, lovingly, <\/span><\/p>\n

from the inside.  Until<\/span><\/p>\n

one night, the past stumbles,<\/span><\/p>\n

and the future rises, like<\/span><\/p>\n

a manta ray leaping for the moon,<\/span><\/p>\n

like a clear word sung tirelessly<\/span><\/p>\n

all morning, like<\/span><\/p>\n

breath into prayer, like night <\/span><\/p>\n

into morning, loss into gain, <\/span><\/p>\n

eternity into <\/span><\/p>\n

eternity.<\/p>\n
