Life works in the living and the dead. We are all manifestations
\nof light, and energy beams from my leaves and perfumed soul.
\nWith all my ingenuities there are still manifold forms
\nof the unexpressed mind. Without a cloud in the sky
\nI am still so diligent in how I pray, and I pick gravel
\nfrom my tires with my keys before I drive. I fix my ideas
\non stars, ignoring direct contact with the devas in the trees.<\/p>\n
Once I heard that plants in a darkened room tremble
\nwhen read ghost stories. And walking through Bermuda
\ngrass somehow reminds me all bodies are water carriers.
\nMy changeableness, my stubbornness, my gospel fables,
\nthe little branchlets in my body somehow holy. And I can\u2019t help
\nbut admire Japanese beetles with their copper-sheened
\nwing covers and forest green heads.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t know where these words are going or if they mean anything.
\nWhat I do know is I can\u2019t stop casting my thoughts, like
\npropellers from maple trees. William Daut said: \u201cReformation
\nis never denied.\u201d And so, I\u2019ll keep going\u2014lifting rain-bent daffodils,
\nand feeding blackberries to chipmunks on my back porch
\nuntil my cataloging mind becomes still as a windless pond.<\/p>\n
