\nor touched a molting bison, however,
\nmy poetry, like all hearts, beats memento mori<\/em>
\nwith every line. I have experienced
\nsuddenly moments, and a witch once scratched
\nme with her nail.<\/p>\n
\nI\u2019m having trouble remembering, but there is
\na scar on my left arm and I don\u2019t know how
\nit got there, and it itches sometimes, and I\u2019m
\npretty sure it\u2019s from a witch who sits on a chair
\nin my dreams, but again, my memories
\nare all flux and flow.<\/p>\n
\nflickering as the leap away from the side of the road,
\nI like my raven colored hair streaked with the color
\nof old bones. And sometimes, when I sleep, in the stilling
\nand folding in, I feel the moon stuck in my body,
\nand she\u2019s naked, as always, and sometimes
\nshe circles widdershins through my ribs just for fun.<\/p>\n
\nand belladonna is one of my favorite words, so
\nI keep some in a tincture on my windowsill.<\/p>\n
\nto make it ring\u2014that\u2019s me in a nutshell–
\na thirsty, broken, wine cask, a mingling among
\nsnails and moss, a little crack in a fence, although,
\nsometimes, when the night is at its most silent,
\nI feel like I am a goddess of ghosts.<\/p>\n
\nand my eyes are open like the owl\u2019s at sun set.
\nI am going to lift my head, that can barely support
\nthese horns, and shape shift into my own life,
\nbecause, you see, a wolf is coming towards me
\nwith a bandaged paw, and I know what I must do.<\/p>\n
