No matter our searching<\/p>\n

for a relative place<\/p>\n

in the world, there will<\/p>\n

always be a sudden<\/p>\n

turn downward\u2014<\/p>\n

a retreating and diminishing–<\/p>\n

despite our insistences otherwise.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Try to remember:<\/p>\n

Master thinks in light.<\/p>\n

He promises newborn<\/p>\n

suns and galaxies.<\/p>\n

The way will be made<\/p>\n

plainly visible.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Fear is real.<\/p>\n

Our living in the caskets<\/p>\n

of our bodies<\/p>\n

is real.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He does not fault our fear.<\/p>\n

There are no boundary lines<\/p>\n

to his tenderness.<\/p>\n

The soft play of his voice<\/p>\n

is enough to vanquish<\/p>\n

the shadow which<\/p>\n

marks the spot.<\/p>\n

Bridges are raised<\/p>\n

with his every move,<\/p>\n

and with one step inward<\/p>\n

he rescues us, walks<\/p>\n

with us to the other shore,<\/p>\n

where death lifts<\/p>\n

its broad wings and flies away<\/p>\n

forever.<\/p>\n
