My soul rings cracked.\u00a0 Here is the marvel:<\/p>\n
beyond the narrow cast of reason there are no<\/p>\n
outer margins to his mercy, there are no<\/p>\n
hidden meanings when he says: \u201cFollow me<\/p>\n
and your soul will ring true again.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He walks the path of embodiment into my heart.<\/p>\n
He is just what my heart was fitted for.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Through the drab utility of the day, the many<\/p>\n
shifts and slants of my desires leave me unsteady,<\/p>\n
the angles of everything I build never meet<\/p>\n
flush and even, my thoughts are a series of endless loops,<\/p>\n
the definitions of my life vague and vary as directionless<\/p>\n
wind—no matter how far I go, I have barely<\/p>\n
gotten underway, I walk only with half-steps,<\/p>\n
and low, sweeping branches cast a thousand shadows,<\/p>\n
and yet\u2014still, I move.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He is the proof of his own wish<\/p>\n
inviting me to come and taste things unseen.<\/p>\n
He establishes his grace as the center of gravity.<\/p>\n
The city of his love is invincible.<\/p>\n
\u201cLove is not learned alone,\u201d he says, taking my hand<\/p>\n
in his, as we meet the final bend in the road.<\/p>\n
