Embrace<\/p>\n

By<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We cannot know<\/p>\n

what we do not know<\/p>\n

until we know it, and once<\/p>\n

we do, we know what we didn\u2019t<\/p>\n

know before.\u00a0 And that<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

is good information for those times<\/p>\n

when we\u2019re talking with someone<\/p>\n

who doesn\u2019t know what they don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Compassion works<\/p>\n

because no one knows exactly<\/p>\n

the pain of another, but<\/p>\n

we do know pain when<\/p>\n

we see it, and that<\/p>\n

should be enough<\/p>\n

to meet one another<\/p>\n

and embrace.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Empathy works<\/p>\n

because no one truly<\/p>\n

understands themselves<\/p>\n

or the other, and so<\/p>\n

when we catch a glimpse<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

of the synergistic universe<\/p>\n

in the eyes of another,<\/p>\n

that should be enough<\/p>\n

to meet one another half-way,<\/p>\n

and embrace.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We can all know, however,<\/p>\n

whether we remember it or not,<\/p>\n

that breathing helps<\/p>\n

this liminal thing called living<\/p>\n

to continue, and that<\/p>\n

there is enough air for everyone,<\/p>\n

and all breaths embrace<\/p>\n

every other breath,<\/p>\n

so we may as well embrace<\/p>\n

in the same, weaving way.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We can also know our hearts<\/p>\n

beat whether we think about it<\/p>\n

or not, and everyone\u2019s heart<\/p>\n

beats together whether we like it<\/p>\n

or not, and that one rhythm<\/p>\n

creates<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

an earth-knowing,<\/p>\n

a season-knowing,<\/p>\n

a sky-knowing,<\/p>\n

a love-knowing<\/p>\n

unity.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And so, we may as well<\/p>\n

embrace, and this time, why not<\/p>\n

spin that embrace into a dance<\/p>\n

that none of us really knows<\/p>\n

how to dance?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dance the dance<\/p>\n

of the unknown together,<\/p>\n

knowing the one thing<\/p>\n

we all want to forget:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

the dance will end.<\/p>\n

And that particular bit<\/p>\n

of perhaps difficult knowing<\/p>\n

should be enough<\/p>\n

to make us embrace,<\/p>\n

and hold on for dear life.<\/p>\n
