I want to know everything<\/p>\n
in the world.\u00a0 Beyond<\/p>\n
the narrow cast of reason,<\/p>\n
that is where I am going.<\/p>\n
I consider nothing impossible.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The hinges snapped<\/p>\n
from my mind\u2019s shutters,<\/p>\n
and I am thirsty for every sip<\/p>\n
of novelty.\u00a0 I want festivals<\/p>\n
of the flesh\u2014the rare<\/p>\n
and the marvelous.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If you want to go with me,<\/p>\n
I ask you do not think,<\/p>\n
to carry no convictions\u2014<\/p>\n
be like a newborn sun\u2014wings<\/p>\n
outspread, conceived by sea<\/p>\n
and foam, fragrant as cinnamon.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Unwind your wants and desires,<\/p>\n
listen to the rivers muttering magic<\/p>\n
begun again anew in full brilliancy, as scars<\/p>\n
of old wounds heal as you spirit<\/p>\n
through leaves and fields, leaping, like<\/p>\n
a goat high in the mountains.<\/p>\n
Dionysus will be our guide.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This abandonment is the touchstone<\/p>\n
of warm snuggery, of a luxuriance<\/p>\n
of kisses, of bandying jests,<\/p>\n
of uncrimping the soul, of a kind<\/p>\n
of wild freedom that resounds<\/p>\n
bliss through your every bone.<\/p>\n
Everything you see<\/p>\n
from here on in<\/p>\n
is you.<\/p>\n
