The day the banished couple<\/p>\n
Sat desperately trying to sew together<\/p>\n
The leaves of paradise, was the day<\/p>\n
Poetry was born.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To attempt to go back you must walk<\/p>\n
In pure sound and naked images,<\/p>\n
You must grapple with knowing<\/p>\n
The tree of life is still yours<\/p>\n
And what, if anything, are you going to do<\/p>\n
About it?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The snake was just being a snake,<\/p>\n
And by that I do not mean\u2014evil\u2014<\/p>\n
I mean whatever the next thought is<\/p>\n
When trying to flesh out the creator,<\/p>\n
I mean, whatever the next thing is<\/p>\n
You do when you realize your nakedness\u2014<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Let these ideas, and all others, scatter, like<\/p>\n
So many puffs of the dandelion,<\/p>\n
Let any shame be gone, and your power be now,<\/p>\n
Let your wonder become tears,<\/p>\n
And your tears become words.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
