Cycle of Gladness<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
All winter we shine our little fires<\/p>\n
So that the sun may rest,<\/p>\n
And we become the light<\/p>\n
We need for each other.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Come spring, she blooms\u2014<\/p>\n
Speaks into our mind: \u201cThank you.\u201d<\/p>\n
And moves closer, warming the world<\/p>\n
With her dazzling smile.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Come summer, she watches over us<\/p>\n
So that we may lose ourselves<\/p>\n
In the drifting, sleepy days,<\/p>\n
And the evenings when she drapes<\/p>\n
The sky with all manner of mingling<\/p>\n
Pinks and blues.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Come fall, she slowly turns away,<\/p>\n
Pulling cool covers around her shoulders,<\/p>\n
But not before leaving the trees ablaze with gold,<\/p>\n
And not before cherishing the gratitude<\/p>\n
Rising from our hearts.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
