You know very well<\/p>\n
When you push a mug off the table<\/p>\n
It breaks.<\/p>\n
You know very well<\/p>\n
When you take steps<\/p>\n
Towards your door<\/p>\n
You get there.<\/p>\n
You know very well<\/p>\n
About cause and effect,<\/p>\n
How when the butterfly<\/p>\n
Opens and closes her wings<\/p>\n
As she dapples around the field,<\/p>\n
She makes waves somewhere<\/p>\n
Far away.\u00a0 You may feel<\/p>\n
Insignificant.\u00a0 You may feel<\/p>\n
Inconsequential, but the truth is<\/p>\n
Everything you do, every movement,<\/p>\n
Gesture, and breath, shimmers<\/p>\n
Out over and into the silver fabric<\/p>\n
Of time and space.\u00a0 Everything<\/p>\n
Eventually touches everything else,<\/p>\n
No matter whether you sense it or not.<\/p>\n
There is no need to sit back<\/p>\n
And feel afraid or ashamed,<\/p>\n
Or like you may as well be<\/p>\n
A feather on the breath of God.<\/p>\n
You are not the feather.<\/p>\n
You are the breath.\u00a0 Speak<\/p>\n
Your life, declare your spirit,<\/p>\n
Move, like a giant, and that<\/p>\n
Doesn\u2019t mean stomping<\/p>\n
And ravaging around\u2014it means<\/p>\n
Be big in your plans, be heard<\/p>\n
As you become more and more yourself,<\/p>\n
Even if that means being<\/p>\n
Quiet as a mouse, making<\/p>\n
Tiny, meticulous arrangements\u2014<\/p>\n
Sooner, or later, your presence will<\/p>\n
Rattle the castle and waken the cat,<\/p>\n
So, move as if your very existence<\/p>\n
Touches everything and everyone<\/p>\n
Around you and faraway, because<\/p>\n
It does.\u00a0 And should you ever feel<\/p>\n
Buffeted around, like the afore mentioned<\/p>\n
Feather in the wind, then go\u2014<\/p>\n
Release yourself into that<\/p>\n
Until you come to rest on the water<\/p>\n
Beneath the trees, where your arrival<\/p>\n
Radiates out, moving the eyes<\/p>\n
Of fish and frog and the otter drifting<\/p>\n
With the moon on its belly,<\/p>\n
Changing everything just by being<\/p>\n
You.<\/p>\n
