Dear Wonder
\nChild Blog Readers,<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you
\nfor stopping by.  Today I am going to
\nshare some inspirational haiku poems I wrote on twitter recently.  They are not traditional haiku in that they
\ndon\u2019t always \u201ccut,\u201d (the root in haiku<\/i>
\nmeans \u201cto cut\u201d) in the sense of having a surprise ending, or an ending that
\njolts (gently or not so gently),  or an
\nending that wakes you up.  I am simply
\nusing the 5\/7\/5 syllable form to couch some images and spiritual ideas.  I enjoy the challenge of using a set structure
\nto fit words into.  It\u2019s like a puzzle or
\na game that yields satisfying results (for me, that is, and hopefully for you,
\nDear Reader).  In traditional haiku
\nnature is almost always mentioned in some way and the season of the year is
\noften implied or explicitly stated. 
\nSometimes I follow this tradition, sometimes I don\u2019t.  Mostly, I am just having fun sharing poetically
\nwrought insights and images that might inspire you to keep moving towards your
\nheart\u2019s desire, or to rise up and sing, to love yourself and the world around
\nyou, to forgive and be forgiven, or to be filled with hope and wonder.  These are some of the goals of my haiku.  Of course, there are some written just to be
\nsilly.  I\u2019ll sprinkle in a couple of
\nthose in another entry.  Let me know what
\nyou think if you would please and feel free to add some of your own.  <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Gazing at the moon \u221e dreamers looking
\nfor heaven \u221e find it in themselves<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

There is grace within \u221e it sleeps in
\nwinter’s garden \u221e waiting for your hand<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Gratitude rises \u221e clearing away
\nmorning fog \u221e glad to be alive<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

January trees \u221e draped in ragged,
\nmisty shawls \u221e know that spring will come<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Inner acceptance \u221e navigating the
\ndarkness \u221e following your light<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Climbing up from night \u221e the sun rises
\ninside us \u221e clearing fears away<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Discover your dreams \u221e held in the
\nhands of the heart \u221e waiting to be shared<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The winter hawk glides \u221e letting
\nwinter comb its wings \u221e cleansing my spirit<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

When you find yourself \u221e it will be in
\nthe moment \u221e holding hands with love<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Dreaming in the ground \u221e the seed
\nsenses holy light \u221e and begins to grow<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Winter’s greatest gift \u221e it reveals to
\nus our breath \u221e and where our souls go<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

A world filled with light \u221e is shining
\nin every child \u221e is shining in you<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Gratitude and praise \u221e ever rising
\nfrom the heart \u221e of the lost one found<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I create the spring \u221e every time I
\nstop to praise \u221e the wonder of you<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
