and I wondered<\/p>\n

as I carried my bags<\/p>\n

to the car:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhich one?\u00a0 One what?<\/p>\n

Why limit yourself<\/p>\n

to only one?\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The autumn train<\/p>\n

is pulling away from the station<\/p>\n

leaving trails of red<\/p>\n

and gold in her wake.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Having missed my stop<\/p>\n

owing to worry<\/p>\n

and a pull to end<\/p>\n

my own life, I roam<\/p>\n

the Philadelphia streets<\/p>\n

looking for someone<\/p>\n

to tell me there will be other<\/p>\n

ways to get through<\/p>\n

the winter stations,<\/p>\n

there will be friends<\/p>\n

at the end of the line<\/p>\n

holding signs and flowers,<\/p>\n

there will be an end<\/p>\n

to the tears,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

and spring will be there<\/p>\n

waiting to the do the rest\u2014<\/p>\n

waiting to welcome<\/p>\n

a good one home.<\/p>\n
