I am not a walking incongruency<\/p>\n

Like I felt I was for so long.<\/p>\n

This husky voice, this poorly covered<\/p>\n

Five o\u2019clock shadow, these shoulders,<\/p>\n

Hands—and this–<\/p>\n

This metallic-purple eyeshadow,<\/p>\n

Creamy rose lipstick, this pink and gold glitter<\/p>\n

You see in my hair and on my face,<\/p>\n

This second-hand skirt and blouse,<\/p>\n

These breasts, these turquoise painted fingernails\u2014<\/p>\n

This is all me.\u00a0 The one and only<\/p>\n

Incongruency is you.<\/p>\n

Just because I do not agree<\/p>\n

With how you think I should look<\/p>\n

Or be, or dress, does not make me<\/p>\n

The one who is wrong.\u00a0 You<\/p>\n

Are not even wrong, in the grand<\/p>\n

Scheme of things.\u00a0 However<\/p>\n

If you insist on allowing who I am<\/p>\n

To grind against the ideas<\/p>\n

Of who you think I should be,<\/p>\n

Then we have a problem.<\/p>\n

If you cannot open the little box<\/p>\n

Of what you think you believe<\/p>\n

Even a little to me\u2014or even to the idea<\/p>\n

Of me\u2014and yet you pray, worship<\/p>\n

Something other than yourself<\/p>\n

Something you believe<\/p>\n

To be omniscient, perfect, and<\/p>\n

The very origin and creator<\/p>\n

Of infinite variety and love, then you<\/p>\n

Are the walking (stumbling)<\/p>\n

Incongruency.\u00a0 You are<\/p>\n

The one, whose box\u2014<\/p>\n

Whose cramped, little box<\/p>\n

Of a life is closing off<\/p>\n

Much needed light.<\/p>\n

It is you who must work<\/p>\n

To align the chimera of who you are<\/p>\n

To the reality that is\u2014<\/p>\n

The reality where you<\/p>\n

Are being led by incongruences<\/p>\n

In sheep\u2019s clothing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
