In a rush of water
\nThe tan, round pill,
\nLike a little pebble,
\nIs blessed:<\/p>\n
Thank you for finally
\nPutting an end
\nTo all I never wanted to be,
\nThank you for softening
\nThose parts that hardened
\nWhen abused,
\nThank you for building a wall
\nSo that paradise
\nMay blossom here……………here………………………and here.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And then baptizing
\nThe even smaller, smooth diamond-shaped,
\nTurquoise pill—Bringer of Dawn,
\nHighly Favored Lady,
\nSacred jewel in the diadem
\nOf fragrant gardens—<\/p>\n
Thank you.
\nThank you for bringing water
\nTo the desert of my soul,
\nThank you for being the thousand keys
\nTo the thousand locks opening
\nThe thousand treasure boxes
\nOf who I really am,
\nThank you for smoothing the rough edges,
\nThank you for opening the flood gates
\nOf an adolescence that was stolen long ago,
\nThank you for bringing together
\nThe little girl, the woman, and the crone,
\nWe dance in gratitude under the sacred fire for the moon,
\nFor the medicines, for the beginning
\nOf a beginning that wasn\u2019t
\nAllowed to start until now.
\nNow the goddess rises through a thousand days of sun,
\nNow the goddess rises with a holy spiral
\nIn her middle, now the goddess rises
\nCradling the moon,
\nNow the goddess rises
\nThe earth her womb
\nThe universe her spirit,
\nThe horizon her brow–
\nThank you coven of angels
\nFor guiding the lost boy home
\nGive him the best of all things
\nFor he was faithful to the end,
\nThank you gathering of wise ones
\nFor seeing me as I am,
\nAnd for holding me in the river of your arms.<\/p>\n
