{"id":1173,"date":"2015-11-14T11:17:28","date_gmt":"2015-11-14T16:17:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thewonderchildblog.com\/?p=1173"},"modified":"2015-12-23T17:34:37","modified_gmt":"2015-12-23T22:34:37","slug":"this-being-transgender","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thewonderchildblog.com\/?p=1173","title":{"rendered":"This Being Transgender"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Being Transgender<br \/>\nBy<br \/>\nJennifer Angelina Petro<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dear Autumn,<br \/>\nThis being transgender reminds me of what you must face;<br \/>\nPeople who haven\u2019t thought of you for ages<br \/>\nSuddenly find themselves thinking of you and lamenting your arrival,<br \/>\nOthers find you a fascinating anomaly in an otherwise endless summer<br \/>\nOf sameness and dreamy afternoons;<br \/>\nOthers force themselves to stop thinking of you<br \/>\nWith hopes of postponing an imaginary, apocalyptic winter,<br \/>\nStill others think about you so much they stop talking to you<br \/>\nAnd pretend you no longer exist, they fear<br \/>\nYour blazing changes will rub off on them,<br \/>\nThey think your very appearance signals a heresy<br \/>\nThat will send summer reeling\u2014<br \/>\nWhich it does&#8211;but not in distress does summer<br \/>\nGo tumbling through the leaves and out of town, it rolls on<br \/>\nJoyous of your presence and relieved<br \/>\nTo finally be able to breathe fully and see spring\u2019s children<br \/>\nFor who they really are. And the heresy?
