We all have a place
\nInside where our truest self
\nLives, where our truest self awaits
\nManifestation through veils
\nAnd layers of years, and veils and layers
\nOf public opinion, old ideas, and misguided
\nSocial constructs. For some,
\nTheir truest self is an animal,
\nFor others it is a lotus,
\nFor others it is a river, a tree, or a song.
\nThen there are those
\nWhose truest self is a body
\nAching to break free from years
\nOf dying inside someone else\u2019s
\nTired, cramped, and lonely body.
\nNo matter who you really are,
\nOr where the place is you truly live\u2014
\nGo there. It is not too late.
\nTime is not running out, time is running in, flowing
\nThrough skin and masks,
\nThrough hidden fissures and coves,
\nIt is revealing you–So be ready.
\nStep out into the cool stream,
\nAstonish yourself with yourself.
\nGrace the world with the gift of you,
\nAnd that place inside will open, like
\nA storm of joy, and you will finally be able
\nTo breathe.<\/p>\n
