 <\/p>\n

We all look for water,
\nWe all want some kind
\nOf baptism into personal freedom;
\nMay we find it at the river’s edge
\nWhere we take our stand,
\nAnd in the tears of joy and sorrow that fall
\nFrom our own eyes
\nWhen we finally spread our wings
\nAnd fly.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Though the clouds try to do
\nTheir cloud work and cocoon you
\nWith silken threads,
\nI know you are already a silver moth,
\nResting on the gently billowing curtains
\nOf the night sky,
\nMay my heart be a lamp
\nAs your wings grow full.
\nA lamp not to consume,
\nBut a lamp to draw you near–
\nA lamp inviting you to dance.<\/p>\n
