Darkness lives as shadows
\nIn every sun-drenched day,
\nStars and eyes of animals
\nBetray light shining in every night–
\nTravel to the end of the day
\nAnd you will stumble
\nInto the arms of the moon,
\nVenture to the end of the night
\nAnd fall into the lap of the sun–
\nTry cleaving the back of a coin
\nFrom its front,
\nKnow that all genitals
\nBegin as one–
\nTry finding the middle ground
\nBetween walking and standing\u2014
\nStraight and curved travel
\nOne continuous line–
\nEvery breath we take sustains
\nAnd destroys us\u2014
\nBathe in dark waters dappled in moonlight,
\nRevel in wonder of trying to experience
\nGetting as close to the truth as you can\u2014
\nTime and space flow like rivers\u2014
\nStep into the ever-expanding now–
\nSurf the spectrum that blooms an eternity of color,
\nSkate the rainbow of possibilities spilling from infinity–
\nBe who you long to be\u2014
\nSing as you long to sing\u2014
\nLive as you long to live\u2014
\nExpress as you long to express\u2014
\nReveal as you long to reveal\u2014
\nSleep as you long to sleep\u2014
\nAwaken as you long to awaken–
\nDarkness lives as shadows
\nIn every sun-drenched day,
\nStars and eyes of animals
